This band also enjoyed significant airplay by the Godfather- however, only their album, 'Secret Damage' was featured. The other three were only released in the U.K. and Japan. Oh, what we missed! At least Psychobird makes them available today...

Ross Stagg, the lead singer and guitarist of Strapps, has a message (from November 2000) to share with all of the Strapps fans from yesterday and today...

"Unlike a
lot of what you hear from certain bands these days I can honestly say that
we meant every word we sang and every note that we sung and played - if you
like this music - I am totally delighted because it was and is real - thank
you for continuing to share what really meant and continues to mean so much
to us".

Here's one of my favorite Strapps pictures...

...a nice representation of the guys, huh?

Special thanks to David Watson (John's brother) for making the 1978 'Prisoner Of Your Love' and the 1979 'Ball Of Fire' albums available for 'Psychobirdization'...

Ross Stagg is still alive and well, living in Australia, and is currently the Acting Head Teacher at Performing Arts Nirimba (what?!?!)... suffice to say, he's teaching the newest generation to rock with some savvy and an eye toward the future. Check out the school's website, www.cmcaustralia.com

We haven't heard the last from Ross or Strapps! To be continued...
